Announcing Confetti Courses!

by on Sep 25 '18

As successful dance studio owners for the past 25+ years, we’ve learned so many things about owning a business and running a dance studio. We love collaborating with our dance community and sharing our ideas, inspirations and strategies with fellow studio owners and dance teachers! Through our blog, we do as much of that as we can on a regular basis. But, some topics just need more time, attention, and detail. Enter Confetti Courses! With each Confetti Course we launch, we’ll be bringing you our collective insight, experience and tried-and-true strategies on topics.

Every Confetti Course will be unique in its depth and offering, ranging from fun mini-sessions to full-fledged courses. All Confetti Courses will be fully online with downloadable materials. Some courses will include videos or voice overs and others will be entirely written. You can read each Confetti Course description to find out exactly what it includes. No matter what, you can expect every course to be thorough, chock-full of valuable and relevant info to the dance world and of course FUN!

What types of courses are coming your way? We’re still working on our complete listing, but you can definitely expect to see courses on social media, branding, recital planning, and so much more!

For now, we’re super excited to launch our very first Confetti Course: Fabric Shopping in NYC: A Complete Guide for Designing Custom Costumes. We put a lot of time and effort into designing costumes for our performing companies and we are asked so many questions year-after-year about how we do it, where we shop, and what are our secrets. So, this course is our tell-all of how we navigate the Garment District (now called the Fashion District, but to us, it will always be the Garment District) in NYC and our complete design process for our custom costumes. This course will include tips on how to find and work with a seamstress, a listing of all our favorite NYC stores, where to stay and eat while in NYC, downloadable worksheets for planning your costumes, body forms for sketching your designs and so much more!

We are actually still designing this course so we don’t even know yet all the additional amazing bells and whistles we’ll be including! In fact, we are IN NYC as we type, mapping out our literal steps as we shop for our own costumes for this season, so we can make this course the best it can possibly be! While we are here, we are offering a super-limited time special price on a pre-order of this course. That’s right…pre-ordering it before we even have it completed! If you have the confidence in us that you know you’re going to love it and you want to know all our secrets of how we create our costumes from concept to creation, we’re willing to offer you an amazing early price discount, but only for one week. That’s right…one week only! And, after this week, you will not be able to purchase this course at all until it is finished, and you’ll never see this low pre-order price again! Anyone who pre-orders the Course will also receive their download before we launch the product for sale again to the public! So, this is your chance to get early access AND the best price!

Ready to launch into the fun of our first Confetti Course? Click here to purchase the pre-sale of Fabric Shopping in NYC: A Complete Guide for Designing Custom Costumes. This pre-sale offer is only available through Sunday, September 30! After that, it will disappear and you won’t be able to purchase this Confetti Course again until the actual launch later this year!

  • I think these courses are a great idea! I would love to take part and especially get in on the pre-sale, but unfortunately the custom costumes are not an option for us up here in Northern Ontario, Canada. Hoping you will offer pre-sales on your upcoming courses as well! 🙂

    • Hi Stephanie! Thanks so much for your comment! We’ll definitely be offering pre-sale specials on all our upcoming courses! Even if you can’t make it to NYC to shop, our course is going to include website links to all of the shops, as well as our complete design process so there is so much more than just the shopping aspect! And, we will have a section for those who are on a tight budget as well. There are so many creative things you can do to design a custom costume without breaking the bank that can be in line with the costs of many of the catalog costume prices, if you want to stand out from other studios. Something to think about! But, definitely stay tuned for our future courses if this one is not for you! Thanks so much!!
