Hip Hop Halloween!
OK, so while we maybe can’t pull off a full-on Halloween flash mob with you and all your amazing dancers (#futureconfettigoals), we think the next best thing is this fun, zombie-riffic Hip Hop Halloween combo! How much fun will it be to teach this super fun, high energy combo to all your classes and share your video with the dance world?! Personally, we think it will be a skele-ton of fun!
The ghoulish grooves were choreographed by Miss Ashley Watson, with inspiration and a little help from the Rhythm Senior Edge Performing Company dancers. We filmed a fun tutorial video to outline all the funky moves and scary steps, and are even providing you with a link to our Dropbox to download the edited version of the music by Allstar Weekend!
Just click the link below, and it will take you to Dropbox, where you will find the tutorial video and the music!
You can use the combo how it will work best for you! Teach the entire combo to your classes, or pick the first four eights, or the second four eights! The last four eights are very simple, and the fun Halloween phrases make it easy to teach and follow along! It’s perfect for “boos” and “ghouls” of most ages and levels!
Here is the challenge: Share the tutorial link with your teachers and dancers, teach and practice the combo during your October classes, and finish with a fun finale video during Halloweek (hopefully in fun Halloween costumes)! We encourage you to post your video on social media, and use hashtag #halloweekonthedancefloor so all the dance world can see your dancers’ monster-tastic moves!
This is not a trick: All the dance studios who post a video by Nov. 2 will be entered into a drawing, and three lucky winners selected at random will receive a confetti prize pack filled with fun treats!
Even if you don’t want to post the video, this is the perfect festive combo to teach in your classes during Halloweek!
We hope that all your adora-ghoul dancers will participate in this fun Hip Hop Halloween!
