Here in the States, we’re in the midst of one of our nation’s most beloved holiday weekends: Independence Day! This is a month to celebrate patriotism, freedom and empowerment! So, grab your sparklers, dance friends…our July #ConfettiMOOD is bursting with STAR-SPANGLED vibes!
Wonder Women
Let’s be honest, as dance studio owners, we are all cape-wielding, super-powered wonder women (and even a few super men) all.the.days! Even during the summer when things are supposedly a little more sane, we’re still putting out fires and saving the world! So, go ahead, grab your capes and own your super hero status with some of this fun, star-spangled, cape-worthy inspo on our Star-Spangled Pinterest Board! We’d love to hear which ones are your faves!
Cape-Worthy Moments
Speaking of cape-worthy, even though it is summer, we know you still have A LOT going on. Between summer camps, open classes, national competitions, registration and fall planning, there’s never a dull moment in a dance studio and no shortage of cape-worthy moments! Make sure you celebrate your successes and promote your brand all summer long, especially for those prospective customers who are still making decisions for their child’s activities for upcoming school year! Keep up your social media sharing all summer long, it may prove to be more important to your brand now than ever!
Star-Spangled Banner
Did someone say brand?! Make sure you are flying your own flag high at your studio and any special events, open houses, etc.! Have you seen our Confetti Branding FunPacks and Confetti FunFrames? We even have some star-spangled options for you, if that’s your thing, check out the Stars & Swirls or PopStar patterns in our Confetti Shop! If you aren’t looking for a complete package, we also have Confetti FunFrames in the same design options. These are a huge hit in the studio, and encourage your dancers to post more pics on social media! Make sure you also give them a hashtag to use!

United We Stand
Like us, many of you are probably preparing for nationals. One fun thing we like to do before every competition is to hold what we call a Spirit Sesh! This fun-themed, team-building event is all about unity, motivation and inspiration. And, of course, FUN! We hold it at the end of our long rehearsal sessions to cap off the day/week. Our older dancers plan the theme, create teams and devise competitive obstacle-course-like fun games, which makes it easier on us as teachers not having one more thing to plan and organize! They only last an hour or so, but everyone has a great time and leaves spirited, unified and ready to take the stage!
While you are unifying your dancers, you can also unify your staff! Dance Teacher Summit is coming up next month (August 4-6) in Long Beach, California, and what better way to build your team than bringing them along for self-development, idea sharing and loads of inspiration! We will be there as ambassadors, with our staff and in our booth! We would LOVE to meet you! Give us a shout out if you plan to be there!
